VetOfficeSuite.com: IMPROVEMENTS AND ENHANCEMENTS March 2020

March 12, 2020

Dear VetOfficeSuite.com Users:

In our efforts to continually improve VetOfficeSuite.com and the user experience, the following enhancements and improvements will be deployed on the morning of Thursday, March 12, 2020.  Please be sure to clear the cache on all devices, including mobile devices, on the morning of March 12, 2020.

For those of you using the most updated version of Google Chrome, instructions for clearing your cache can be found at Clearing Cache Google Chrome.  For convenience, it is only necessary to clear cached images and files.

Proper formatting of tabs on iPad Running Version 13.x.x:
It was brought to our attention that users who had upgraded their iPads to version 13.x.x were having issues with the tabs in VetOfficeSuite.com properly displaying.  That issue has been resolved.  It is important that you clear the cache on your iPad the morning of March 12, 2020 to ensure this works as expected.

Viewing Closed SOAPS:
As per user requests, you now have the ability to view a closed soap on multiple workstations without getting the message that the SOAP is open on another workstation. The SOAP must be closed and not open for editing for this functionality to work.

Edits to the USDA 7001:
Edits were made to the USDA form 7001 to ensure proper formatting.

Prescription Labels:
When generated, prescription labels will now appear in the middle of the screen to aid the user interface.

Updates to the Spay Neuter and Microchip Certificates:
Two updates have been made to the patient information screen regarding spay/neuter and microchips.

Spay/Neuter: If a patient has a spay/neuter transaction invoiced, the spay/neuter certificate will demonstrate the date the procedure was performed.  If a patient was spayed or neutered previously, the user will have the ability to enter the date the procedure occurred on.  This date will then populate on the spay neuter certificate.

Microchip Certificate:  Users now have the ability to enter the date a microchip was implanted. This date will then populate on said certificate.

Change The Length of an Appointment Using Drag Functionality:
Users will now have the ability to change the length of an appointment using drag functionality.  The user can view appointments in the day or week sections and will note two small dashes at the bottom of the scheduled appointment.  Hover the mouse over the two dashes, click and hold the left mouse button, and the length of the appointment can be changed by dragging the mouse up or down.

There are a number of new features that we are currently testing and once finalized will be released.  These include:
  • Colors assigned to folders in the documents and images section to alert you files are present in the folders, coupled with the number of files in the folder.
  • Added a Comments section next to Normal and Abnormal in the SOAP form to allow for pertinent descriptions of body systems.
  • An Additional Email field in the Client Information section so that the second email address will receive reminders as well
  • Adding a field to allow for a veterinarian's license number and state of practice to appear on certificates.
  • Enhancement of our PDF Plug in to allow for more than 170 line items to appear on invoices and reports.

Please contact us if you have any questions or if you have any ideas for more upgrades.  We hope you enjoy the latest features. Thank you for being a VetOfficeSuite.com User!
